About Aswan

Aswan lies in southern Egypt on the east bank of the Nile, where the river widens around granite islands and the desert draws close to the water. It is a calm, sunlit city with a Nubian character, known for river views, colorful villages, ancient monuments and a slower rhythm than Egypt's larger urban centers.
