Geneva Airport (GVA), also known as Genève Aéroport, is located in the Canton of Geneva, within the Geneva administrative area near Meyrin and Le Grand-Saconnex, around 4 km from Geneva city center. Opened to civil air traffic in 1920, it is operated by Genève Aéroport, an autonomous public institution owned by the State of Geneva.
