Airport to Santorini City Center Transport

Transport from Santorini Airport to Santorini city center, usually Fira, is available by public bus, taxi, car rental, shared airport shuttle, or pre-booked private transfer.

Bus

Municipal KTEL buses depart from Santorini Airport and connect passengers with Fira Central Bus Station, the main transport hub for the island. The average journey time to the city center is about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic and waiting time.

Taxi

Taxis are available outside the arrivals area at Santorini Airport 24/7, though queues can be longer during peak summer travel periods. The average taxi ride to Fira city center takes around 10 to 15 minutes.

Car Rental

Car rental companies operate at Santorini Airport, with offices or service desks in and around the terminal. Vehicles are usually collected near the terminal exit, making this a convenient option for travelers planning to explore the island independently.

Transfer

A private airport transfer is one of the most convenient ways to travel from Santorini Airport to the city center, especially for families, groups, late-night arrivals, or travelers with luggage. Advance booking is recommended during the high season to secure availability and fixed pricing.
