Promotions are usually offered on specific routes with a limited number of seats. To get the lowest price on Air India tickets, search a range of dates, try midweek days and follow early booking periods. Since SmaxGo search results show the price of the same flight across different sales channels, you can see the discounted option on a single screen.

For Air India flights, online check-in usually opens 24 hours before departure and is done on the airline's own website or mobile app with your PNR code and surname. At the end of the process, your boarding pass is issued digitally. If you have checked baggage, use the bag drop counter; if you are traveling with cabin baggage only, you can go straight to security.

Baggage allowance on Air India flights varies by fare class and route. Economy tickets usually include one piece of cabin baggage and checked baggage up to a set weight limit; on promotional tickets, checked baggage may cost extra. Checking the weight and piece information in the flight details before you buy saves you from paying extra fees at the airport.
